Every year, Sioux Rubber & Urethane attends the GEAPS Exchange, an annual convention hosted by the Grain Elevator and Processing Society to help professionals in the worldwide grain industry make new connections, find solutions, and learn about new technologies. This year the event was hosted in Kansas City, and we sent Derek DeGroot, Jordan Langley, and Joe Wren to man our booth on the showroom floor.
As one of over 400 exhibitors at the Expo, the GEAPS experience is always one part marketing, one part learning, and one part networking. The convention offers more than 40 hours of educational programming as well as a number of social events, and we make sure to make the most of it every time we go.
“We’ve attended the GEAPS Exchange for 15 years,” said DeGroot, Sales Manager at Sioux Rubber & Urethane. “Each year is a little different, especially since they switch the location every time. This year seemed to have a higher attendance, and I think the Midwest location helped.”
Sioux Rubber & Urethane attends the annual GEAPS Exchange because they offer several products that benefit the grain industry, from urethane liners to the Tuff Tube. “Our primary focus at this particular show was the Tuff Tube. As much as it’s been a game-changer for increased augur performance, it never ceases to amaze me that some people haven’t heard about it yet,” adds DeGroot. “But that isn’t a bad thing. It just goes to show how many more companies could benefit from it, and why conferences like GEAPS are important to attend.”
Sioux Rubber & Urethane will be hitting up local trade shows within the next year (we’ll keep you posted on the when and where), and already has next year’s GEAPS Exchange on the docket.
