Urethane is one of the best materials available to cover and protect a piece of machinery. Urethane or polyurethanes mimic the traits of both plastic and rubber to offer the best in abrasion control and impact resistance. It is easy to use, has excellent wear resistance and can be poured, sprayed and brushed on almost any surface. Our urethane is a special blend we call Endurawear. This blend has been formulated specifically for our customers to provide excellent impact and abrasion resistance. We use urethane for a number of applications, including our liners.
Why Line with Urethane?
Besides offering excellent impact, abrasion and corrosion resistance, applying urethane to machinery has other benefits. It acts as a noise insulator, muffling loud sounds. It resists sticky build-up on your equipment’s parts. It improves production speed and is easy to install and clean. Plus, because the urethane liner takes the abuse from daily wear-and-tear, your machine breaks down less, reducing costing downtime.
We can line your machinery and equipment with urethane using two different methods, spray-on or bolt-on.
Sprayable Urethane Linings
We can cast or spray urethane on almost any part, enhancing its physical properties. Since Endurawear urethane can be formulated in various ranges of hardness, rigidity and working temperature range, it can be bonded directly to almost any substrate including most metals, concrete, or wood surfaces. The shape options are many. We can offer you literally hundreds of choices for sprayable liners. Our urethane liners:
And, all of our sheets, bars, rods, tubes, and capping rings are molded in Sioux Rubber’s high-quality urethane compounds, in a wide range of hardness, all at competitive prices.
Bolt-On Urethane Linings
Some equipment requires us to bolt on a liner. We can bond Endurawear urethane liners directly to pump housings, fan housings, cyclones and semi-trailers or even manufacture a bolt-on or drop-in liner for your specific application. Many types of urethane are available in a variety of thicknesses to make the liner or coating perform at an optimum level. Bolt-on urethane liners:
If you’ve got a piece of equipment that needs improvement, protect it with a urethane liner. Or, if you’re not sure what you need, contact us. We’ll help you find a rubber or urethane solution to perfectly suit your needs.
